IAC held Eid Fest in collaboration with Enmore Muslim community

 The Indian Action Committee (IAC) is pleased to announce that the organization had held, in recognition of the culmination of the Holy Month of Ramadan, once again, an Eid Fest at Enmore, East Coast Demerara, yesterday, Sunday, 17th June 2018.

This IAC program was done in collaboration with the Enmore Estate Anjuman Masjid.

The IAC had first held this event in 2008 and continued the tradition over the years.

This IAC initiative was intended to bring the Muslim community in the Enmore area together to educate and remind them about the significance of Ramadan and the moral benefits involved in its commemoration. The awareness was done through Islamic prayers by Imam Jai Hatim, the recital of the Holy Quran and its fundamental teachings, reflections on the holy month, and motivational Islamic beliefs and discussions by Maulana Sayyid M. Tasdeeq Aabidi. Pastor Ronald McGarrell, Chairman of the IRO also delivered brief remarks on the organization’s mandate of promoting racial harmony amongst the various ethnic and religious groups in Guyana.
