The Indian Action Committee (IAC) extends congratulation to the Republic of India on the auspicious occasion of the 72nd Anniversary of gaining Independence from Great Britain after 90 years of Crown Rule.

The IAC recognizes the great developmental strides that India has made during the past 72 years in all fields of human endeavour.

The IAC also recognizes the immense amount of aid received by Guyana from India before and after the independence of the former in 1966 especially in the fields of agriculture, education, and culture.

The IAC believes that Guyana can benefit greatly from increased linkages in the future with India which is on the verge of becoming the most populated nation on the planet as well as a leading global economic power.
