The Indian Action Committee (IAC) wishes to invite the general public its 15th Grand Annual Cultural Melas to observe the 180th Anniversary of Indian Arrival to Guyana.
The Melas are scheduled for Saturday, 28th April 2018, at the Anna Regina Community Centre Ground, Essequibo, starting at 17:00hrs, and on Saturday, 5th May 2018 (a national holiday), at the Albion Sports Complex, Berbice, at 15:00hrs.
There will be live band performances by Daks New Generation Band and Prem Sound System for the Essequibo show, while Shakti Strings and Traveller’s Sound System will perform at the Berbice program. There will also be cultural performances showcasing the contributions of Indians to Guyana, through singing, classical dances, cultural exhibitions and lots more, in addition to food, games and other attractions.
Moreover, both events will have massive promotions, deals, and giveaways offered by GTT with every purchase of a GTT SIM card or handset.
The Melas are kind compliments of GTT; Banks DIH; AGM Inc; Texila American University and Rohan’s Auto Spares including other private businesses.
The events are non-alcoholic, family friendly with police security, and admissions are free.
